The first ever Face the Future Conference has been announced. It will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Tuesday and Wednesday May 5-6, 2015. My good friend Richard Holcomb and I came up with a vision for a conference about all aspects of the future almost four years ago after a tour of Spaceport America. Due to the strong commitment and support from the City of Albuquerque, the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Albuquerque Business First publication, and Heritage Hotels & Resorts, we have made a five-year commitment to have this conference annually in the newly refurbished ABQ Convention Center.
Simply stated, the vision of the Face the Future Conference is to become the premiere conference about the future of everything. As we state on the just launched web site:
"With renowned futurists and thinkers from the U.S. and beyond, the Face the Future Conference will discuss and envision the dynamics shaping the world of business now and for the next 5-10 years... the catalysts that are propelling us into a new age of accelerated transformation...the effects on the global economy... the new stage of the global economy... and what this all will mean in terms of visionary leadership in business and life."
Tickets for the conference will go on sale by the end of 2014. I will let you know when they do. If you want to make sure you are notified when tickets go on sale, please fill out the short information form here. If you are interested in a sponsorship, now is the time to act, as sponsors have already signed up and proposals are out to several others. Please go to this page, download the sponsorship packages and fill out the form to be notified. Or you can simply send me an email at david@davidhoule.com. Whatever you do, please put down the dates of May 5-6, 2015 in your calendar for now. Here is the home page of the web site.
My latest book has just been published. Written with brand and marketing research guru Owen Shapiro, this book is a high level look at the past, present and most extensively into the future of brands. The book already has marketing professionals talking. To quote the great, world renown marketing professor Phillip Kotler:
"There are many books on how to build brands in the 20th century. This is the first to show what it will take to build successful brands in the 21st century"
You can click on the icon to the right to take advantage of introductory pricing of $2.99 for the eBook or $12.92 for the print version. I will write more on the book in the next Newsletter.
In my blog I have written the first two of three columns on the new stage of the global economy. You can click on the links to the right. The third column will be published soon and in the next issue of the Newsletter I will offer up some unique insights to you about what to expect as the global economy enters its second stage, one that should last for at least the next ten years. This will affect us all and most certainly how we do business, communicate and view ourselves.
